See why the Tamworth region is fast becoming a must-visit destination for foodies at the annual Taste Tamworth Festival.  Drawing visitors from across New South Wales, Taste Tamworth is a long weekend celebration of food, wine and produce from across the Tamworth region.

Sweet Street

Saturday 10 September | 2pm – 5pm | Fitzroy Street Plaza

Sweet Street is the newest addition to the Taste Tamworth Festival, it is a colourful sweet filled afternoon in Fitzroy Street Plaza. Prep your tastebuds for cupcakes, slices, and other delicious treats. There will also be bake-offs and other competitions too for those participating.

This event is free and tickets are not required.

A Taste of Sunset

Saturday 10 September | 5pm – 8:30pm | Kitty Crawford Estate

Brazilian style BBQ, wine and sunsets with live entertainment in a picturesque rural setting. If this sounds like you, ‘A Taste of Sunset’ is not to be missed. Located at Kitty Crawford Estate in Piallamore, there is a bus option available to and from the venue.

Long Lunch

Sunday 11 September | 12:30pm – 4pm | The Pavillion Function Centre

A Taste Tamworth Festival favourite and one not to be missed. Great food, great friends, and plenty of drinks to enjoy while you take in some live music. All while surrounded by the beauty and tranquillity of landscaped gardens and trickling waters.

Indulge in four courses, created using select local cuisine by local chefs Graham Manvell (Central Hospitality Group, Kitty Crawford Estate, Baker Boys Espresso) and Ben Davies (Graze Willow Tree, Colly Creek Beef), while you drink the afternoon away to music talent Sounds of Sunday.

Ticket price includes, 4 course meal, 4 drink vouchers & entertainment.

Laneway Pop-Up Bar

Friday 16 September | 7pm – 10pm | Fitzroy Street

The Laneway Pop-Up Bar returns to Taste! Step off the streets of the Tamworth CBD and discover an evanescent bar housed in a unique converted laneway.

Enjoy a range of international flavours from a selection of dishes prepared by The Pig & Tinder Box and party the night away with a selection of wines, beers, and cocktails available from the open-air bar.

The bar is temporary, but you can capture the moment forever with our official event photographer, Love Story Photography, and rally your friends together for a quick pic with Magnetic Shots and take home a photo magnet on the night.

Availability of tickets is strictly limited. Ticket price includes a drink on arrival (wine, beer or soft drink), your choice of two dishes prepared by The Pig & Tinder Box, plus live entertainment to help you dance through the night.

High Tea in the Gardens

Saturday 17 September | 10am – 12pm | Tamworth Botanic Gardens

Enjoy delicious treats in the beautiful surrounds of the Botanic Gardens. A selection of sandwiches, savory and sweet treats with free-flowing tea and coffee.

Kids' High Tea in the Gardens

Saturday 17 September | 2pm – 4pm | Tamworth Botanic Gardens

A royal tea party experience to be shared with your little prince or princess. Dine on finely cut sandwiches, scones served with cream and jam and plenty of sweet treats with a few surprises for the children.

Taste in the Park

Sunday 18 September | 10am – 4pm | Bicentennial Park, Tamworth

Taste in the Park is the largest and final event of the Taste Tamworth Festival. Bicentennial Park comes alive with food stands, fresh produce and craft beer stalls. Discover sensational flavours at Taste in the Park.

$2 entry.

Taste in the Park stallholder applications

We are calling for applications from stallholders and vendors for ‘Taste in the Park’ which is the final and largest event of the Taste Tamworth Festival. Taste in the Park is on Sunday 18 September, 2022

Sweet Street stallholder applications

We are calling for applications from stallholders and vendors for ‘Sweet Street’ which is the newest addition to Taste Tamworth. Sweet Street will feature the finest baked goods including cupcakes, slices and other treats. It will take place during the day of Saturday 10 September, 2022

If you’re a baker or know someone who is, we want you to be part of this great event! Applications will be open late July/early August.

This event is presented by Tamworth Regional Council through Destination Tamworth.
