Wednesday 22 March, 2017
Word on the street is that the 2017 Tamworth Country Music Festival was one of the most vibrant Festival’s to date, with happy crowds, enthusiastic entertainers and visitors from right around Australia.
Now it’s our residents turn to provide their feedback to Festival organisers during a Feedback Forum to be held next Monday 27 March at the Tamworth Community Centre.
The forum is a great chance for residents and local business owners to bring along their highlights and any improvements they would like to see made in future years.
Tamworth Regional Council Manager Events Barry Harley encourages residents from right around the Region to come along.
“Every person and business in the Tamworth Region is impacted someway during Festival. What we hope is that this impact is positive and creates an increase in business for them, however we are also seeking feedback about improvements that residents would like to see. So far, feedback has been very positive, with many music venues reporting good results, some up as much as 13 per cent.
“We hold this meeting after Festival each year and use this feedback to amend our planning for subsequent events. Our staff can’t be everywhere, so this is a great chance for residents to tell us what they saw, what they loved and what they want to see done differently next year.”
All residents and business owners are invited to attend, with a panel of Festival organisers providing an overview of the 2017 event, followed by a Question and Answer session where feedback will be sought.
The Festival Feedback Forum will be held on Monday 27 March from 6pm in the Heritage Room of the Tamworth Community Centre.
