Welcome to the Tamworth region

Tamworth Regional Council acknowledges that the Tamworth local government area is situated on the traditional lands of the Kamilaroi/Gamilaroi/Gomeroi people and it is on their traditional lands that we live, work and play. We recognise their continuing connection to this land and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

Become a Volunteer

Do you love the Tamworth region? Do you have great customer service skills and love meeting new visitors from all over the world? Then you should volunteer with us to promote our great region!

Our Visitor Information Centre and Outlet volunteers are the friendly faces that our visitors are greeted with when they arrive into the region. Our volunteers play a crucial role as ambassadors and providing high quality information.

Volunteering is a great way to be part of your community and share your expert local knowledge. We welcome new volunteers to join the Destination Tamworth team at our Visitor Information Centre and Outlets in Tamworth, Manilla and Nundle.

Contact us by phone on 02 6767 5300 or complete the Get in touch form if you are interested in learning more about volunteering with Destination Tamworth.
