Take advantage of having a sleep in on Friday and head to the Tamworth Regional Gallery for Play School Up Late, a night just for grown ups where there’ll be quizzes, craft activities, wine and cheese and special guest and past presenter, Philip Quast.

 

Looking for somewhere to grab dinner?

Feed a crowd with the Family Hotel’s $12 steaks, or $15 pizza and garlic bread at the Southgate Inn.

If you’re in Manilla or passing through on Thursday night, make sure you swing by Molly May’s and take advantage of their new night offerings including pizza, pasta and coffee, available for eat-in or takeaway until 8pm.


Friday 30 March

Looking for something to entertain the gang?

If you’ve got the family staying, why not head out for a drive to Manilla and take in the incredible sights at Mt Borah as teams take to the skies for the Paragliding State of Origin 2018 from Friday to Tuesday.

If going for a run sounds like the perfect start to your day, grab your Easter-themed gear and head down to the Paradise Tourist Park before 8am to get involved in the Tamworth Parkrun.

Browse over 100 markets stalls, try your hand at gold panning and watch the extraordinary traditional Chinese Lion Dance on Pole performed by the Australian Yau Kung Mun Association from Sydney. 

While you’re in the area, make sure you check out Volcania Art Glass (open every day over the Easter weekend from 10am – 4pm), the Mount Misery Gold Mine Museum (open every day of the Easter weekend from 9am – 4pm) and Arc-en-ciel Trout Farm and Nundle Smokehouse (open Sunday and Monday).
