Destination Tamworth Regional Events Marketing Support Program
Applications for the 2019/2020 Destination Tamworth Regional Events Marketing Support Program are now closed, and will re-open in 2020.
This program provides financial and/or marketing support for marketing activity for events and festivals held in the Tamworth region. Any organisation wishing to apply for event support from Tamworth Regional Council via Destination Tamworth is required to complete an application in full including any requested supporting documentation.
In order to qualify for funding, an event must exhibit and be able to report back on three (3) key focus areas:
the economic benefit of the event to the Tamworth region;
an increase in visitation to the Tamworth region, and
event sustainability for new events, or for existing events – demonstrate how the event will grow.
Who can apply?
Applicants eligible to apply for assistance as part of the Support Program include:
incorporated community based organisations;
co-operative Regional Groups or similar, and
An applicant/event can only make one (1) application to the Support Program per financial year.
The Funding Tiers
There are three (3) tiers of funding available, up to a maximum of $5,000. Depending on the level you are applying for will depend on the amount of information that is required with your application:
$100 - $750
$751 - $2,000
$2,001 - $5,000
- Applications open Friday, 17 May 2019.
- The funding is for events being held between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020.
- Applications are open for 4 weeks only.
- Applications for funding support close at 5pm on Friday, 14 June 2019. Late applications will not be accepted.

Final Event Report
All successful Level 3 applicants are required to complete and submit a Final Event Report (see link below) within 30 days of the event occurring. This report is optional for successful Level 1 and Level 2 applicants.
