Tour the Pacific

Saturday 7 April, 6.30pm

Head to Hopscotch Restaurant & Bar for a culinary journey across the Pacific Ocean where chefs Jesse Blackman and Jamie Clements will showcase local produce in an eight-course Degustation Dinner. Using cooking techniques from their experiences working overseas, the event will have a specifically Asia-Pacific flavour. Matching wines have been chosen by Claire and Peter Hordern, who will be sharing their extensive knowledge accumulated over 16 years of running a vineyard in Orange.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic! Bring your teddy bear friend to share this fun cooking and making workshop. Activities will include cooking teddy bear themed treats, and creating your very own teddy bear cookbook to take home on the day. This session is for 5-7 year olds, and bookings are essential!

Meet the Farmer: Jack's Creek Dinner

Friday 13 April, 6pm

Together with 2015 and 2016 winner of the 'World's Best Steak Producer' Jack's Creek, the Workshop Kitchen will be hosting an exclusive dinner to celebrate the Taste Tamworth Festival. Indulge with canapes and a four-course dinner matched with beer and wine from the New England Brewing Company and Merilba Estate. David Warmoll from Jack's Creek will also provide insight into the family-owned and operated Australian business.

Cheese Making Workshop

Come for a fantastic day out at Tamworth Library and learn how to make your own cheese including soft blue cheese, halloumi and ricotta at home in this 100% hands on workshop. You’ll be heading home with your homemade cheese, plus recipes for cream cheese, mascarpone and greek yoghurt (BYO container). Course notes, morning tea, lunch and a goodie bag are all included in the workshop price.

Food Detectives Workshop

Cheese is one of the world’s most popular foods and the simplest to make at home. In this Food Detectives workshop, kids will explore how cheese is made and use their senses of taste, sight and smell to decode the ingredients of delicious foods including cheesecake and pizza. This workshop is suitable for children aged 9+, and is brought to you by the Tamworth City Library and New England Community College.
