The Great Nundle Dog Race is a unique event that attracts families and their dogs to the tiny village of Nundle near Tamworth in North Western NSW on the first Sunday in May every year.

Enter your pooch in different types of races and novelty events, including the House Dog Race, Doggy High Jump, Fashion Parade, Steeple Chase and the Circular Dog Derby.

Prove the pace of your working dog in the feature event, the Great Nundle Dog Race, where it all started nearly 40 years ago. Two farmers arguing in the local Peel Inn about whose dog was fastest came up with the idea of a race, and so the legendary competition began.

Food and drinks available all day, raffle, merchandise, kids' entertainment and running races. Gold coin entry.

Major fundraiser of the Nundle Public School P&C. All money raised goes to improving educational opportunities for students at Nundle Public School.
