The next field trip on Saturday 25th May is the biannual Regent Honeyeater and Swift Parrot survey.  This survey will be centered on the Barraba/Manilla area with locations to be chosen on the basis of reported sightings of these bird species and expected flowering of native trees.

While we have limited hopes of seeing these endangered species, we no doubt will see a range of other beautiful grassland and woodland birds.

Tamworth Birdwatchers welcomes new members.  If you are interested, the field trip will be leaving at 8:00am, from the car park behind the Community Centre, in Darling Street.  Be there early so we can organize car-pooling.  Bring binoculars if you have them and come prepared with your morning tea, lunch and plenty of water.
