Tamworth Jockey Club are proud to host the JT Fossey Land Rover and Jaguar heat of the 2019 Newhaven Park Country Championship on Sunday 10 March 2019 at Tamworth Jockey Club.
Entry on the day is just $15 including course cafe lunch, live music from lovely local Sally-Anne Whitten and free kids activities including pony rides, a jumping castle, monkey maze and face painting!
Come along to a great day of country racing and support local horses as they prepare to take on the cream of country NSW racing.
The Tamworth heat offers a total of $150,000 in prize money and is open only to horses trained in the Hunter and North West racing area. First and second placed horses will qualify for the rich $500,000 Country Championship Final at Randwick on Saturday 6 April 2019. Support races offer up more than $200,000 prize money making this race day second only to the Mercure Tamworth Cup in terms of total prize money.
