It’s the nation’s longest running line dance competition, featuring the widest variety of events of all line dance competitions across Australia. Hosted by Line Dance Association of Australia, the Championships proudly supports all levels of line dancer, from novice to experienced, and is held over four jam-packed days. During Days One and Two, enjoy the Standard Line Dance Competition highlighting choreographed competition dance routines to all genres of music. On Day Three is the Basic Line Dance Competition featuring social line dances performed at competition level. Day Four features the Choreography Competition: a showcase of the social dances new to dance floors in the last six months. This is followed by the Winners Workshop, a chance for you to learn the latest award-winning dances. The prestige event of the Championships, The Open Country Duo “ALDC Award Buckle Section”, is held in the morning on Day Two of the competition where you'll experience the pinnacle of today's line dance talent.
