 Field Trip

To Tia Falls 8:00am Saturday 26th October 2019.

The next field trip on Saturday 26th October 2019 is to Tia Falls, near Walcha. Tia falls is a very scenic location off the Oxley Highway.  With rugged landscape it is a great habitat for woodland bird species and we hope to see a range of vulnerable species including Varied Sitella, Speckled Warbler, Scarlet Robin and the Hooded robin.   On our last outing to this location we were delighted to see Rufous Fantails.  It is also a great location to see Wedge-tailed Eagles and possibly Peregrine Falcons.

Tamworth Birdwatchers welcomes new members.  If you are interested, the field trip will be leaving at 8:00am, from the car park behind the Community Centre, in Darling Street.  Be there early so we can organize car-pooling.  Bring binoculars if you have them and come prepared with your morning tea, lunch and plenty of water.
