Field Trip

8:00am Saturday 24thAugust 2019 our field trip is to the Horton Falls National Park, west of Barraba.

On our last field trip to this location we were thrilled to see the very rare and endangered Swift Parrot.  On this outing we have hopes of seeing this bird again as well as some other rare species including Yellow-Tufted Honeyeaters, Striated Thornbills and Torquoise Parrots.

Tamworth Birdwatchers welcomes new members.  If you are interested, the field trip will be leaving at 8:00am, from the car park behind the Community Centre, in Darling Street.  Be there early so we can organize car-pooling.  Bring binoculars if you have them and come prepared with your morning tea, lunch and plenty of water.
