At Nundle, anglers must seek out the Arc-en-Ciel Trout Farm, nestled high on the Great Dividing Range above the village. Arc-en-Ciel has been hatching and growing the finest rainbow trout for more than 20 years – recognised by local three-star Michelin chef Ben Davies as “absolutely wonderful” flavours.

Take a tour of the Trout farm and learn some of the secrets of what make the fish superior in taste. Relax at the fish-out dam in the enchanting, peaceful surrounds and observe the many bird and wildlife species abundant on the farm.
Catch a plump trout in the fish-out dam. Bring-a-BBQ and relax watching others catch trout. All fishing gear supplied. Enjoy a light meal or cuppa in the coffee lounge complimented by a slice of fresh cake.
During the warmer months, guided bush walks, of various grades are available on the farm to take in the spectacular flora and fauna. Bookings are essential and are available for 6 to 10 people.
Your tour guide will cover topics such as bush medicine, history of the land, aboriginal history, bush tucker and endangered wildlife. A photographer’s dream!
Things to take home
In the farm shop are delicious trout products to take home for tea. You may also find a gift for a friend from the souvenir and gift selection.
